Setting up a Zone
Setup a geographical area, or "zone", that you define within your service area to streamline field service operations, improve resource allocation, and enhance customer satisfaction
- To begin, access the settings by selecting "Business Unit" from the left sidebar.
- In the "Operational Settings" section, choose the option for "Zones"
- Click on "Actions" at the top right corner and then select "Add New Zone"
- Name the zone according to your preference and choose a color
- Establish the standard appointment lengths for each type of appointment; puppy, behavior modification, and basic obedience.
- Choose the zip codes that will be assigned to your zone and click "Update"
Ensure that all zip codes are assigned to a zone to avoid any issues with the lead contact form on the website. Having unassigned zip codes can cause disruptions in the appointment scheduling process.
Zone Colors
The color you choose will also be displayed as a highlighted time range on your calendar when you move or copy appointments to different slots on the calendar.
“Serviced - Not Owned” Zip Codes
These zip codes are identified in the master list of zip codes for your business unit. You have the flexibility to reassign them to different zones without impacting your reporting. However, keep in mind that if you do reassign them, you won't be able to quickly identify which appointments are associated with a zip code that is not owned by your business unit from the calendar view.
